Situated on the lower floors of the high-rise building "Museum Tower Kyobashi," the museum features its main entrance on the Chuo-dori side with a plaza in front, making it easy to find even for first-time visitors. Through the open glass-enclosed entrance, you can glimpse inside from the street, creating an inviting atmosphere. Nearby art facilities like the adjacent Toda Building are also in the vicinity. Perhaps due to the area's conscious urban development, the spaces between buildings are beautifully designed. Just strolling around fills your heart with joy.

まず目を引くのが、高さ8メートルの大型ガラスで囲まれた1階から2階の吹き抜け空間。外装は瓦や硯のような上質な色合いのパネルで覆われ、中央通りの景観にしっくり馴染んでいます。何より印象的なのが、直径1.8メートルの円柱！御影石を使った美しい巨大な柱は、先頭の1本は1階外部からそのまま3～5Fまで続き、内部の吹き抜けに出現するオブジェともなっており、高さ16.5メートルまで続くそう。アーティゾン美術館のシンボルとして、訪れる人を迎えてくれます。展示室は4階から6階の3フロアで、旧ブリヂストン美術館の約2倍の広さ。最新の照明や空調設備も完備され、作品をじっくり鑑賞できる環境が整っています。

The first thing that catches your eye is the atrium space from the first to second floor, surrounded by 8-meter-high large glass panels. The exterior is covered with panels in refined colors reminiscent of roof tiles and inkstones, blending seamlessly with the Chuo-dori streetscape. Most striking of all is the 1.8-meter diameter column! This beautiful massive pillar made of granite extends from the exterior of the first floor through the 3rd to 5th floors, appearing as an art object in the internal atrium and reaching up to 16.5 meters high. Serving as the symbol of Artizon Museum, it welcomes visitors. The exhibition rooms span three floors from the 4th to 6th floor, roughly twice the size of the former Bridgestone Museum of Art. Equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and climate control systems, the environment is perfectly suited for thoroughly appreciating the artworks.

The Ishibashi Foundation's collection of about 3,000 pieces is simply breathtaking! The museum, founded in 1952 by Shojiro Ishibashi, the founder of Bridgestone, was born from his passionate collecting. You'll be amazed by the breadth of genres--from ancient art to Impressionism, Japanese early modern art, modern Japanese Western-style painting, 20th-century art, and contemporary art. When I actually visited, I was moved to see works by masters like Picasso, Renoir, and Rousseau up close in such an astonishing way. "I can't believe they're displayed so casually!" I exclaimed with delighted surprise. The Ishibashi Foundation Collection Selection showcases masterpieces carefully chosen from over 3,000 works, and the collaborative exhibitions with challenging contemporary art are thoroughly engaging as well.

2階には無料ロッカーがたっぷりあるので、荷物を預けて身軽に鑑賞できるのが嬉しいポイント。6階から順に降りながら見学するスタイルで、各展示室には「view deck」という開放的な休憩スペースも用意されています。鑑賞後は2階のミュージアムショップへ。展示の記憶を持ち帰れる素敵なポストカードや関連グッズが充実していて、選ぶ時間もぜひ楽しんで！1階のミュージアムカフェは、美術館に入館しなくても利用できるのが魅力です。大型ガラスで京橋の街並みが広がり、天気の良い日はオープンカフェのような開放感がたっぷり。展示を振り返りながらゆっくりお茶をする時間は、至福のひとときです。

The second floor has plenty of free lockers, which is a wonderful feature--you can store your belongings and explore light and unencumbered. The viewing style takes you down from the 6th floor, and each exhibition room has an open rest area called a "view deck." After viewing the exhibits, head to the museum shop on the second floor. It's stocked with wonderful postcards and related goods that let you take home memories of the exhibition--enjoy taking your time choosing! The museum café on the first floor is attractive because you can use it without entering the museum. Large glass panels open up to reveal the Kyobashi streetscape, and on nice days, you can enjoy a liberating, open-café atmosphere. Leisurely having tea while reflecting on the exhibition is pure bliss.

京橋彩区の取り組みのおかげで、このエリアは美術館が集まるアートスポットに。アーティゾン美術館の隣接する戸田ビルディングにも美術館があります。建物と建物の間も、空間デザインが配慮されています。。外から見ると、アーティゾン美術館の大きな円柱の美しさをより楽しめます。気候の良い時期なら、外のベンチで休憩しながら街の雰囲気を楽しむのもおすすめ。徒歩圏内に複数の美術館があるので、1日かけてアート巡りをするのも素敵なプラン。それぞれの美術館で異なる個性に触れられるのが、京橋ならではの醍醐味。東京駅から気軽に訪れられる距離なので、ショッピングのついでにふらっと立ち寄れるのも魅力です。

The spatial design between buildings has been carefully considered. From outside, you can better appreciate the beauty of Artizon Museum's large columns. When the weather is nice, I recommend relaxing on outdoor benches while soaking in the neighborhood atmosphere. With multiple museums within walking distance, spending a full day on an art tour makes for a wonderful plan. Experiencing the distinct character of each museum is one of Kyobashi's unique pleasures. And since it's easily accessible from Tokyo Station, the charm is that you can casually drop by while shopping.
